4th Baron of Kinderton. Sir William de Venables’ seal was a lion rampant sinister. He was given Winigton on the river Weaver a mile outside of Northwich and Radnor which lay on the river Dane a mile outside of Congleton. He purchased Wincham from Henry de Elots in 1233. Sir William was the father of Hugh, Robert, William, Hamon, and Richard Venables. He died in 1228, and resided at the estate in Eccleston.
