Note

Arriving in Sydney, Australia (aboard the brigatine Fairfield), on the 24th of July 1826 (or 1828), he was an overseer and flockmaster for the Australian Agricultural Co. He arrived with at least $500 and and some of his own stock of stud Merinos, and acquired land in the Hunter River District.

Granted Broomfield near Scone in 1831, he bought Belltrees (also in Scone), Timor near Murrundi, Booroona near Walgett (on the Barwon River) and Edinglassie near Muswellbrook, where he died.
