Note

Wells was reported to have a son Nathan (at least 21 yrs) in 1787, 1789tax record (>21)

This could also be the Nathan that showed up on Flower Swifts Militia
List in 1782 (or it could have been his fathers brother Nathan), and then on 1783, 1785 lists of Enoch Osbourne's Co. with his father.

Not sure if this Nathan is the son of Wells, but looks like it based onthat Nathan Ward's heirs include: Jeremiah (another brother?),
Benjamin, Lewis, Enoch, Stephen, Sr (his brother?)., Landreth, Silas,
John Cox & wife Nellie Ward Cox, and Wells of Owen Co., IN,
Nathan Ward, Jr. of Whitley Co., KY and Zachariah. (Annotated 1870
census)

Grayson Couthouse book only lists Benjamin, Zachariah, Nellie, Lewis, William, Enoch, Wells, Nathan jr as children of this Nathan.
