Note
|
James Toliver aged 65 lived four houses from Charles G Fowlkes who married Amanda Toliver according to the 1860 census data. The 1830 census lists him as living with a wife and four children - a female between 5 and 10, a female and two males under 5. In 1840, the older daughter is listed as between 10 and under 15. The of these children, the 1850 census lists only Tabitha aged 30. (Amanda 38 was already married to CG Fowlkes with 6 children) While this does not prove that James is Amanda's father, he is my best candidate at this point. THS 5/15/04 |
