General Notes: It is highly likely that Henry is the same Henry who was born about 1274,the second son of Sir Henry de Erdington and Maud, 4th daughter of SirRoger de Somery. The timing and place, Co. Warwick, ENG are correct forthis to be the next connection in this line. If proved to be true thelineage goes back through noble lines. When I find this Henry with adaughter Matilda, CD-100 and F-345 will support their ancestry. It doesstate that he married before June 1315 Joan, d. of Sir Thomas de Wolveyof Co. Warwick. According to Hal Buckley, this 1315 date is the date thatthey are listed as a married couple, but their marriage took place atleast 1300 or earlier from the known births of their children. If this Henry, father of Matilda, is the son of Sir Henry, b.(est.1226-1238), then the Ancestral File Record (F-441-442) should bechecked for siblings of Henry, (Jr.) |
