Note

Caroline Pauline Scholz was born on 12th August, 1841 at Koslitz. It was during or soon after the birth that her mother died.

She came to Australia with the rest of her family in 1845. On 4th March, 1862 she Married Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Hubner, the eldest son of Johann Gottfried Hubner and his wife Anna Rosina (nee Ulrich). The Marriage took place in the Immanuel Church, Light Pass, with Eduard Scholz, Gottlieb Wenke and A. Fiebig, all of Light Pass as witnesses. She was a trained nurse and most likely worked at the Willows Hospital before her Marriage.

The couple lived at Bethel before moving to Jindera, NSW, where other members of the family had already taken up land.

About 1904 they moved from Moorwatha to Greenvale, about ten miles from Boree Creek towards Narrandera, where they had a property of about 700 acres.

She died at Lockhart on 18th February, 1911 as a result of an accident. She was driving to Lockhart when the horse bolted and she was thrown from the vehicle, rupturing her liver. She was buried at Moorwatha.

She gave birth to five children, all female, but only three of them were live births. One of these lived for only one hour and was not named.
