Note

"JOHANNE MATHILDE Lindner was born at Langmeil, South Australia, Australia on 16th October, 1852.

It is not known when she moved to New South Wales or when and where she Married George Lea, a BulLock team driver. Their first child was born at Wentworth on 13th March, 1870 and the next one at Albury on 29th July, 1871. They lived in the BurrumButtock district for a number of years, before moving to the Wagga Wagga district. The last three children were born at Goodwell, Wagga Wagga in 1887, 1889, and 1891.

It is believed that George Lea returned to England where he died.

She lived at Walla Walla for a number of years before moving to Sydney where she died on 28th May, 1908 at Hatings Rd, Turramurra. She is buried at St Johns Church of England Gordon Cemetery.

Twelve children were born of this Marriage, 6 sons and 6 daughters. One daughter Ellen Ada Lea, disappeared without a trace, and nothing is known of her descendants, if any. The Youngest child Eveline, migrated to New Zealand, where she is still living.

Unfortunately there appear to be no photos in existance of Johanne Mathilde or her husband"
