Note

JOHANN GOTTLIEB Scholz was born at Walla Walla on 13th February, 1879. After Marriage he lived at Munyabla (1904-06), then Temora 1906-20. He lived in the Walla subdivision from 1920-26 and in the Culcairn district from 1926-38. After living at Bulgandry from 1938-49 he retired to Lavington. After the death of his wife in 1962, he lived with his daughter, Mrs. O. Kilo of Henty.

Before taKing up farming he worked for a time at the Heppner-Scholz BlackSmith foundry at Walla. He was a bReeder of ClysDale horses.

He was Married to Anna Dorothea Schlenker.

She died at Albury on 9th June, 1962 and he at Henty on 5th August, 1971. Both were buried in the Albury Lawn cemetery.

Six children were born of this Marriage, 4 sons and 2 daughters.

All trace was lost of one son, Clarence Theodore since 1945.

An interesting feature of one son Edwin Arthur, was the birth of twins and triplets in the one family. And this was before the days of fertility drugs. The birth of triplets was the occasion for receiving a special message from His majesty, King George VI.
