From "Descendants of Nicholas Perkins of Virginia" Wm. Hall...
Mary Perkins married Amos Ladd, son of John Ladd whose will wa
s probated Aug 2, 1680 (Henrico County Records 1677-1692). Th
e family religion is indiacted by an entry ofDec. 1 1681: "Wher
eas Jno Lead late of this County of Henrico if Virga decdin hi
s last sickness made a writing (intitiuled a will)...but all th
e witnesses therto being quakers (too much adhering to thier sup
ersitious principles) refuse to prove the said pretended wil
l b oath (as the law provides) and Mary the relict of the said d
ecedt liekwise refusing complyance with all the legall proceedin
gs int he management of the said decedts estate....the Justice
s of the peace....give & Grant unto Capt. Wm. Randolph admtion..

prising 40 acres, was sold Nov 1, 1731, to Pew Price by Willia
