Samuel Lister, gentleman, who held amessuage formerly occupie
d in two tenements at Sutcliffe Wood, and closes called the Gree
n, the Great Close, the Middle Bottom, the Over Bottom the Brigh
olme, the Kiln Croft, the Gamble Royd, the Spring, and the Sprin
g End, withone lande leading to the said messuage, formerly i
n the occupation of Nathaniel Crosley, which premises contain si
x acres or thereabouts, and also as muchof the two closes in Li
ghtcliffe called Thruswells as is copyhold, which premises are n
ow in the occupation of Luke Howarth, ren 3s. 7d., died, and Wil
liam Lister, of the City of London, linnen draper, is his heir a
nd nephew. He is admitted and pays 42 pounds 10s. Samuel Liste
r held by deed of the lorda water corn-mill called Shibden Mil
l in Northowram, rent year 1 pound 6s.William Lister, his neph
ew pays his relief and is admitted.
