From Edna's Mother's obituary, this excerpt:
"Then 4 times the Angel of deathsayted his hand until Edna wa
s married to LE Wingard and soon after the coming of her littl
e son, moved to Leoti, Kansas. A hurried message to the mothe
r of the serious illnes of her daughter As fast as steam coul
d carry her she hastened to her bedside, but again death claime
d his victim. She took themotherless baby and tenderly cared f
or him so he never missed a mother's love."
