Henry lived in Tazewell Co. Va while his brothers and sisters mo
ved on to Ky with his father and his third wife. In 1801 he gav
e a land transfer to his brother Christopher and Wife Mary Green
up Marrs.He had a mill in 1800, and lived in Tazewell until h
e died about 1838; wife Elizabeth died a few years earlier. The
y are both buried with Francina, his mother, and their son Thoma
s. Henry was 76 years old at death and willed hisland to his s
on-in -laws

Henry Marrs is the oldest son of Samuel and he stayed inTazewel
l county, Va when his father Samuel and most of the rest of th
e family moved to KY in 1893 and operated the family mill. I ha
ve a copy of a deed(Book 1p40) dated 6 Day of January in the ye
ar of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one where he and h
is wife deeded his brother christopher Marrsfor five pouns."...

He took over the family land, and when he died in 1830, his lan
d holding had grown to at least 1341 acres
He served in Virginia during the Revolutionary War. (1782) in th
e Militia Company of James Maxwell., whowas to become his fathe
r-in-law. Henry's parents were Samuel Marrs and Francine Bradsh
