In 1801 he gav e a land transfer to his brother Christopher and Wife Mary Green up Marrs.He had a mill in 1800, and lived in Tazewell until h e died about 1838; wife Elizabeth died a few years earlier. The y are both buried with Francina, his mother, and their son Thoma s. I ha ve a copy of a deed(Book 1p40) dated 6 Day of January in the ye ar of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one where he and h is wife deeded his brother christopher Marrsfor five pouns."... a certain parcel or track of land lying on the North sideof cli nch river containing 53 acres thirty poles being part of a trac t of one hundred acres Granted to Herny Mars land patent bearin g date the second Day of May one thousand seven hundred-eighty s even and bounded by followeth toward beginning at a large whit e oak corner to a track of land patent to William Maxwell, thenc e N 38 W 74 poles to a black oak and two beaches N 88W 92 pole s to two black oaks, a white oak and gum saplings S 7 E 6 pole s to a stake. N 85 E 174 poles to the beginning with its appente ances and every part andparcel there of to have and to hold.... .(some words hard to read so written as I thought it read) He took over the family land, and when he died in 1830, his lan d holding had grown to at least 1341 acres He served in Virginia during the Revolutionary War. (1782) in th e Militia Company of James Maxwell., whowas to become his fathe r-in-law. Henry's parents were Samuel Marrs and Francine Bradsh aw (tradition, about which I have doubts). Henry Marrs is the oldest son of Samuel and he stayed inTazewel
l county, Va when his father Samuel and most of the rest of th

e Militia Company of James Maxwell., whowas to become his fathe
r-in-law. Henry's parents were Samuel Marrs and Francine Bradsh
