.His grandfather John Dickson the elder of Bentley roide, yeom
an, bequeathed him 20 pouns in 1611. He made his will on the 16
th, and was buried on the 27th September 1614. He bequeathed t
o his wife Sibill, with child, her third; and appointed his lovi
ng uncles, John Dickson, and Robert Inman, and his brother in la
w Humfrey Drake, his overseers. He left ot his mother in law, J
udeth Drake 3 pounds to his uncle John Dickson and to his son Jo
nas Dickson 3 ts8d each. to Mr John Brodeley preacher at Sower
by 6 13s 4d; to the poor of the chapelry of Sowerby 30s; and t
o Thomas his man servant Mary his maid servant 5s. each.
