ngworth, co. Lancs. (a place mentioned in his father's will) se
ttling the manor or lordship of Longworth on his second wife Win
ifred; this had been previously settled on his first wife Anne..
.recorded his pedigree at Dugdale's Visitation of Lancashire i
n 1664-5, tracing his descent from John Lacy of Cromwellbottom
; he was age 36 on Nov 29 1664; wife Annedaught of Adam Hulto
n (Hilton is clearly a mistake for Hulton, see the pedigree of H
ulton in the same Visitation), by whome he had four sons and tw
o daughters. Roger aged 9 at the same date, Thomas aged 6, Ada
m aged 4, John aged2, Anne aged 12 and Hilton (Hulton) aged 11
. With regard to the manor of Longworth this was held by the Lo
ngworth family in 1632 (VCH Lancs., v 286); the mention of prope
rty there by Thomas Lacy in his will of 1634 suggests thatthe m
anor was acquired by him between those two years. In 1738 it wa
s no longer in the possession of any Lacy descendants, for it wa
s then named in a settlement of the estates of William Hulton o
f Over Hulton
