Note	James Bottomley of "Cock Royds" he and Hannah Kellett, had 17 ch ildren, James's brother John born in 1746 married, another Hanna h Kellett at Leeds ParishChurch seems to have left no children! ! but a lot of money 1,500 pounds in those Days (16 Feb 1822) t o his brother's Children. To John the eldest and William 2nd so n (and from whom I descend (Janet Ogden) their sister Martha h eleft a cottage each. In John's Will there were 36 bequests . There was a bigfuneral tea and lots of goings on. I found L ists of Family and Friends invited plust Bills for transport, Fo od and Drink ref. to this is in Card Index at Halifax Library . Moses next to the youngest son of James and Hannah Kelletbor e Arms which helped with the next part of the Bottomley Story . The cottages left by John were in Soper Lane, and Cock Royd s Farm must have had a track into the lane, but later had an exi t into Cooper Lane to the left of theFarm (Cock Royds Farm pull ed down 1999 to make way for New Houses) my friendBarbara Swift , who lived near by, says it could be Green Lane, Shelf. More s earching needs to be done into the other beneficiaries of John' s Will and at Wakefield Registry of Deeds, Re Cock Royds Farm an d its owners.
