Described asa woman of bright intellect and remar kable memory, and according to the Chadsey record prepared by Wi lliam's Great-Great Grandson, Jeremiah Greene Chadsey, in 1840 ( in possession of a.B. Chadsey of Wickford in 1902), she was abl e at that date to give a clear record of her Grand-Father. Sh e said he leftWales, where he was born in 1692, and came to Ame rica in 1715 he landed in the Southern states first and came t o Newport, R.I., the following year. He soon after crossed th e Narragansett Bay and settled in Sand HIll in Nor. Kingstown R. I., four miles south of East Greenwich R.I.
