Paul R. Conley dies in Ohio
Angina Pectoris Fatal to Burke Native in Cleveland at age of 44.
Paul R. Conley,44, a native and former resident of Burke county
, died SaturDay at Cleveland,Ohio, where he had resided for man
y years.
Death resulted from angina pectoris with which he had suffered f
or the past four years. He had been ill recently but his condit
ion appeared "improved," and he had left the hospital to retur
n to his home a few Days before he was stricken.
A member of a prominentBurke county family, Mr. Conley was a so
n of Mrs. Florence Rector Conley ofMorganton and the late Horac
e Milton Conley.

Akron, Ohio, beofre going to Cleveland where he held an executiv
e positionwith a metal industry. He was employed for a time a
s bookkeeper at the Morganton Furniture company as a young man b
efore leaving Morganton.
Frequentlyvisiting his native home, Mr. Conley came here last M
arch at the death of hisfather and reutnred again during the su
mmer.
Surviving are his wife and twosons, one of whom is serving in t
he Navy; his mother, Mrs. H. M. Conley of Morganton; three broth
ers -- Burtis L. Conley, H. Lester Conley and Guy A. Conley or M
organton; and two sisters, Mrs. Ben Hood of Lenoir and Mrs. Sran
klShell of Clinton,Texas.
Funeral plans were incomplete when members of his family left he
re SunDay morning for Cleveland. Going from here were Mr. and M
rs. H. Lester Conley, Mr. and Mrs. Guy A. Conley, Burtis L. Conl
ey and Mrs. Hood.
