Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Myron J. Tillotson, who resided in Crete until sixt
een years ago when they moved to Beecher, received scores of Cre
te friends in addition to those from Beecher when they held an
d "open house" celebration at their home on TuesDay, in celebrat
ion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Members of the vario
us Crete organizations to whichMrs. Tillotson belonged and in w
hich she still takes an interest attended ingroups to wish th
e couple continued happiness. Throughout the afternoon andeven
ing refreshments were served to the guests who came to offer the
ir congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Tillotson's daughter, Mrs. Hil
da Daugherty, who lived in Crete for many years, together with h
er husband Dr. Frank B. Daugherty, and their two daughters Mario
n and Katherine of Peotone, assisted with the"Open House."
The lace which trimmed the dress which Mrs. Tillotson wore on Tu
esDay was the same lace she wore on her wedding gown on 16 Jun 1
886. BothMr. and Mrs. Tillotson are looking forward to the Cre
te Centennial celebaration the Fourth of July, at which time the
y will see many friends whom they knew in and about Crete
