Myron lived for a time in Chicago,Cook,Il, He established a news
paper calledthe Crete Journal in the early 1880s. In 1888 Will
iam C. Trowbridge became Myron's partner. Three years later Tro
wbridge bought out Myron's portion of the newspaper. Trowbridg
e continue to print the Crete Journal until 1894 whenhe moved t
o Chicago Heights and established a new paper there.
Myron operated a grocery store located at the Northeast corner o
f Cass and Main streets in Crete. He also sold garden and flowe
r seeds.
