his wife died in 1800, and to their daughters Elizabeth and An
n who died in1831 and 1838 in Woodbridge, whither they had pre
sumably repaired with theirmother on the latter's widowHood, an
d where their Walford cousins are remembered in the Church. The
y are recorded by their nephew John Frederick as dying"old maid
s". 50 pounds donations were made to Addenbrooke's Hospital i
n the two sisters' names after their deaths. John II, in his w
ill of 1754, proved in 1755 left apparently extensive land at "C
lapton" (probably Clapton Corner near Woodbridge) in Suffolk t
o his widow for life with a reversion to hisson John III. Thi
s was presumably a Davy inheritance.
