Obit 1674 Of Lower Bairstow Will 28Jan 1674 for his four daughte
rs divided asfollows 150 pounds to Mary the eldest; and to Mart
ha, Sara and Phebe, 100 pounds each to be payable as each shoul
d come of age. Also I give and bequeathunto John Kinge my son a
nd heir apparent, and his heirs all that messuage called Lower B
airstow, and that called Trimingham, and all closes etc., in m
yown occupation. And also the aforesaid closes called the Holm
e, at the Cawsey, in Warley, now in my own occupation. And the t
wo water corn mills called Skircote Mills, to hold the same to t
he said John Kinge his heirs, etc. if heattain 21, but if he s
hould die before reaching that age, without issue, testator bequ
eathed the same to the two younger sons, Samuel and William King
eand their heirs. To Samuel Kinge wa bequeathed, charged as bef
ore, Cliff Hill, and two closes call "Astleyes," also the annuit
y of 4 pound 3 shilling and4 pence from lands, etc, at Butterwo
rth End in Norland with remainder in case he should not arrive a
t full age without issue to John and William Kinge.
To William Kinge was devised all the messuages in Warley, and th
at called RawPighill; also the annuity from the fulling mills a
t Sowerby Bridge, and theannuity of Cawdey--remainder, as befor
