George Sampson, son of Abraham Sampson was born in Duxbury Ma i
n 1655 and died in Plympton, Ma Jul 26,1739 aged eighty-four. H
e was one of the earliest to locate in Plympton, which was origi
nally prt of Plymouth, but which was formed as a society in 169
5 and incorporated as a town in 1707. His house occupied the s
ite of one built later andowbed by his great-grandson,George Sam
pson, and Joseph Sampson,son of the latter.
George Sampson married Elizabeth, who was one of the original me
mbers of the Plympton Church. She was born in 1656 and died Ma
y 27, 1727
