Elizabeth Jane Baldwin was born 2 March 1842. She married Thomas Charles Hodkin on 13 July 1862. They had six children: Perry L., Emma, Jasper Francis (Frank), John D., Mary J. and George W. Thomas Charles died 9 March 1876. After his death Elizabeth moved to Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri. She married Charles Davis 23 July 1881. Elizabeth lived the rest of her life in Carthage. She died in Kansas City, Missouri at the home of her daughter. Elizabeth is buried at the East Cemetery, also known as Cedar Hill located east of Carthage. She does not have a tombstone. Burial information is from her grandson Howard Leon "Lee" Hodkin. |
