Note

In loving memory of Kenneth Potts. Kenneth was born at Eighton Banks, near Wrekenton, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. His father was William Potts and his mother Alice. He had two brothers Arthur and Robert and one sister, Joan.

Kenneth suffered during much of his early life after falling as a baby and breaking his back. He spent most of his early years recovering and walking aided by calipers. Nonetheless after troubled early years, in 1946 he was fit enough to join the Army when he was called up to complete National Service, serving in the RAOC in Germany, Singapore and Malaya. During his Army career he attained the rank of Corporal and gained his parachute wings, something he was immensely proud of.

In 1955 whilst serving at CAD Kineton, Warwickshire Kenneth met Diana Elizabeth Warner. He left the Army and married Diana and they had two children, Stephen and Jennifer. Between 1956 and 1986 he worked at AP Leamington brakes and motor components factory. From 1955 up until his death in 1999 Kenneth lived with Diana in Northend village, Warwickshire.
