Note	1551 North Ave. Wife and 3 children. Veteran of the NAVY. Patrolman for the Bridgeport Police Department. A member of the Bridgeport Police scuba dive team and pistol team. Described as an expert cyclist. Patrolman Salthouse was killed in a police motorcycle accident while returning from Columbus Day Parade in New Haven. He was traveling in a group of about 15 other Policeman on Motorcycles. He was traveling South on Main St by the Dump and took a left turn onto Short Beach Rd near the Tennis Courts when the bike swerved out of control. The accident occurred in Stratford Connecticut where he had permission to stop and visit his parents Mr and Mrs Gerald Salthouse of 331 Riverdale Dr in the Lordship section of Stratford. His parents had planned a party for his younger brother Roger who was scheduled to leave today for the ARMY. He has another brother Roy. There was no know witnesses to the accident on Short Beach Rd which happened around 7:30 pm. Taken to Bridgeport Hospital. Age 27
