Note	Ottawa Citizen - August 14, 2011 KEMP, Gord December 6, 1948 - August 13, 2011 Peacefully, surrounded by family, after a brave fight with leukemia. He was a proud member of Gloucester, Kanata and Lanark Highlands fire service for over 40 years. He found the utmost happiness in his family. He lived life fully, striving always to find the positive in all situations. He will be missed dearly by his wife Susan (nee Crosby), and his four children; Mike (Sabrina), Patricia Cooper (Adam), Scott (Laura Seaman) and Steve (Joshua McMillan). He was a proud grandfather of Benjamin, Braeden, Crosby and Madeline. Predeceased by his father Eldon and survived by his mother Lois (nee Spratt) and siblings Evelyn Budd (Don), Murray (Judy), Kevin (Camille), Diane (Jacob), Randy (Judy), and David. Will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his mother-in-law Natalie Crosby (late David) and the entire Crosby clan. The family thanks all members of 5 West and the entire BMT team of the Ottawa General Hospital for their dedicated and sincere care. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, Kanata, Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service Tuesday in Holy Redeemer Church at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada are appreciated. Also, please donate blood.
