WASHINGTON TERRACE - Gorden J. Nutt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007 surrounded by his family at Ogden Regional Medical Center, from complications of a long illness.

He was born March 18, 1926, in Paris, Idaho, to Frederick and Johanna Nutt. He was the seventh of eight children. He grew up in Paris and graduated from Fielding High School. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Gorden married Loueen Porter on March 26, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He worked in security at Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1979 as the Chief of Administration and Reports Branch, with more than 30 years of service.

Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gorden held many stake and ward callings. He also served a mission in the North Central States.

Gorden enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, and spending time with his family, especially family camping trips.

The family would like to thank the doctors and personnel at Ogden Regional Medical Center for their loving care and concern.

Surviving are his wife, Loueen, of Washington Terrace; five sons and their wives, Bruce and Dena, Brigham City; David and Christie, Farr West; Paul and Sharon, Clinton; Daniel and Vicki, Washington Terrace; Jeffrey and Kim, North Ogden; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchil-dren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Ramona Poulson, Bessie Eliza Passey and Ethel Price.

Gorden was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 7th Ward Chapel, 4900 South 300 West.

Friends may call at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the Ward Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
