POUNDS Stanley (Ronnie) Pounds, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on 1/24/12, after a long and courageous battle with cancer and pneumonia. He was the son of William R. Pounds and Margaret Mae Gore. Stanley graduated as valedictorian from Paxon High school, class of 1957. He retired from JEA where he worked as an electrical engineer. He was a Deacon at Freedom With Christ Church and was a long time member of the Wiley Bridge Club. Stanley is preceded in death by his loving wife Priscilla Danson Pounds and his brother William (Jerry) Pounds. He is survived by his three daughters; Barbara Ann Lee (Johnny), Priscilla Dawn Hodge (Jimmy), Melinda June Jones (Joey), 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm; located at the Chapel at 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl 32205. Funeral service will be held at Lakeshore Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Located at 2270 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32210.
