Note

Delmar Obray, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away from natural causes on November 25, 2012.
Delmar was born on October 23, 1931, in Garfield, Utah, to Vern and Marie Obray. He graduated from South High School in 1949. Delmar enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951 and was a Korean War veteran. He served six years of active duty and retired from the Navy Reserve in 1979.
While on military leave, Delmar went on a blind date with Donna Hartley, a beautiful girl that he picked out of his cousin's yearbook. Delmar and Donna began their courtship through letters. He proposed at her graduation and mailed the engagement ring. Delmar and Donna were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 8, 1953. They were married 59 years and had five children.
Delmar worked 31 years for Paramax; retiring in 1992. Delmar was a lifelong, faithful member of the LDS Church. Only a war came between him and his mission call to California. He served tirelessly in many church callings. He also provided a guaranteed laugh to anyone who told a joke during a church meeting (no matter how bad). Delmar was a kind, gentle, fun-loving, family man. He enjoyed meeting new people and had a great sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his parents and daughter, Lisa. Survived by his wife, Donna; and children, Lyle (Kathy), Lori, Diana and Leanne; grandchildren, Brett (Reane) and Nathan; great grandchild, Audri; and brothers, Harold and Richard.
Funeral services were held at his Magna LDS Stake Center on Saturday, December 1st, followed by interment at Valley View Memorial Park.
