Hetty (or Hettie) Heap was born about 1869 in Northwich, Cheshire, England, Her parents were Jonathan Heap and Hannah Robinson. She was engaged to be married to James Burnside just before her family immigrated to Muskegon, Michigan in 1888. Shortly after that, she returned to England to marry James on June 11, 1890 at St. John's in Higher Broughton, Lancashire, England. The officiant was Rev. G. Mattison (Hetty's cousin). She and James possibly lived in Dublin, Ireland for a short time. They possibly had one child or more. Hetty died in 1896 in Manchester, England. The burial took place on August 13, 1896 at St. Matthew in Stretford.
