Note
|
Mr. Norman M. L. Eddington who is a Vice President of the Cheer-up Society, has received from the military authorities an intimation that his son George, who was previously reported as missing, had been killed in action. Pte. George Eddington was attached to the 19th Brigade of Field Artillery, and had been absent with the A.I.F. a little more than two years. He was the only son of his parents, was highly respected and had before him a singularly promising career, which he sacrificed when the call of patriotism came to him. |
