Bateman - Jackman Wedding.
Wesley United Church was the scene of a quiet summer wedding, when Miss Georgina Jackman, youngest daughter of Mrs Jackman (Thamesville) and the late William Jackman, was united in marriage to Robert Bateman, son of Mr & Mrs J. Bateman of Thamesville. The ceremony was performed by Rev C.C. Washington. The bride was attended by Miss Isabelle Bateman, of London, cousin of the groom, and William Jackman, cousin of the bride of Thamesville, was best man.
The bride wore a street-length dress of turquoise blue, with black accessories and corsage of red roses. The bridesmaid wore a dark brown suit and a corsage of yellow roses.
A reception was held following the ceremony for members of the immediate families at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs George Funnell, of London. Later Mr & Mrs Bateman left to spend their honeymoon in Northern Ontario. On their return, they will reside in Thamesville.
