McDONALD: Ruby Jean (Bateman) a resident of Thamesville passed away on Sunday January 13, 1980 at the Canadiana Nursing Home in Chatham in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Douglas McDonald, dear mother of H. Marie Bourbin of Napa California and Charles Wayne McDonald of RR 5 Thamesville. Kind sister of Isabel, Mrs. Ernest Fleetwood of London and Miss Gladys Bateman and John W. Bateman of RR 3 Ridgetown. Four grandchildren also survive. One brother, Edward Bateman predeceased. The late Mrs. McDonald is resting at the John C. Badder Funeral Home in Thamesville until Wednesday January 16 when the funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm with Rev. Sam Priestly Jr. of St. James Presbyterian Church, Thamesville, officiating. Internment in the Mayhew Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.

Ruby Jean McDonald, 66, a resident of Thamesville, died Sunday in Canadiana Nursing Home in Chatham.
She was born in Orford Township, daughter of the late Charles Bateman and the former Annabelle Scott. She had lived in Thamesville for the past 31 years.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas McDonald, a daughter, H. Marie Bourbin of Napa California, a son, Charles Wayne McDonald of RR 5 Thamesville; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Isabel) Fleetwood of London and Gladys Bateman of RR 3 Ridgetown, a brother, John W. Bateman, also of RR 3 Ridgetown, and four grandchildren. A brother, Edward Bateman, predeceased.
A service will be held Wednesday at 2 pm in the John C. Badder Funeral Home in Thamesville. Rev. Sam Priestly Jr. of St. James Presbyterian Church in Thamesville will officiate.
Burial will be in Mayhew Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
