AMOS FENNELL l Nov. 26th 1936 Newbury- Nov. 23rd. The funeral service was held on Friday afternoon of the late Amos Fennell at the family residence with interment in Oakland cemetery. The I.O.O.F. conducted the service at the grave. Member of Mt. Zion IOOF Newbury for 50 years. He also served in many capacities in the village, including the town council and the library board and was actively connected with the formation of the Old Boys Association. He had resided in the village for over 60 years. About 45 years ago he started in the lumber business and continued in the work until the day he suffered a paralytic stroke 8 weeks before his death. He is survived by his widow; one son William A. of Pasqua, Sask; three daughters Mrs. Justus Hurdle of Newbury; Mrs. Harold Beatty of Glencoe; and Mrs. R. P. Nash of Toronto; eight grandchildren, two brothers, Stephen and Charles of Newbury and two sisters Miss Lydia Fennell and Mrs. John O. Archer of Newbury. |
