GRANT HACKINGS MARRIED 35 YEARS MAESER-- Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hacking were honored at their home Wednesday of last week for their 35th wedding anniversary. All of their children were home, including Corporal Douglas Hacking, who arrived home from Vietnam on Christmas Eve. He has spent the past year in Japan and Vietnam. His wife Adriann of Cottage Grove. Oregon and their new baby son, Joseph Grantm were also atht eh Hacking home and Douglas saw his son for the first time. Other members of the family home for the occasion were the Lynton (Elnor) Scotts and son Craig of Trinity Center, California. Mr. Scott is in the real estate business and Mrs. Scott is a nurse at a memorial hospital in the Trinity Center. Mr. and Mrs. James R. Ely and children Dellah, David, Debra and Danny of Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Horton is a horticulture specialist. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Hacking and children, Deena and Ryan. Mr. Hacking is an engineer in San Jose, California. Marilyn and Barbara Hacking, students at Brigham Young University, were also present. The Hacking's foster son, David Hails, was home from Utah State University. The family enjoyed Christmas dinner at the Hacking home, in addition to special guests, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Giles and sons of Riverton, Wyoming; Mr. and Mrs. Ferron Hacking and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Anderson and daughters. One evening during the Christmas week was spent taking pictures of the family group. Grant Hackings Celebrate 40th Anniversary The family of Mr. and Mrs. Grant (Mildred Bailey) Hacking were in Vernal to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The Hackings were married December 23, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Heber J. Grant. Attending the dinner at Diamond Hills were Mr. and Mrs. Lynton E. (Eleanore) Scott and two children, Trinity, California; Mr. and Mrs. James R. (Sandra) Ely and five children and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hacking and three children, all of Tacoma, Washington; Marilyn Hacking and Bill Beasley, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Berkley (Barbara) Hall and one daughter. Special guests were some of Mrs. Hacking's early teaching career friends. Unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. Brent Hacking and family of Saudia Arabia. He is employed by Ramco Oil. |
