Terilee Coy, 42, passed away at her home from a heart attack on April 11, 2001. She was born May 26, 1958 in Vernal to Terrell G. and Jennie Lee Hacking Coy. Terilee graduated from Rangely High School in 1976. She attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colo., where she graduated with a degree in early childhood education. She taught 2-year-olds in Grand Junction at a daycare/preschool called The Learning Center. She then moved back to Vernal to care for her grandparents. She was hired by the Uintah County School District where she has been employed for the last 17 years. She taught at the Learning Center in Maeser, Vernal Junior High, and was currently employed at Lapoint Elementary. Terilee loved teaching her students and was continually teaching her nieces and nephews. She loved traveling as a family and watching her nieces and nephews play sports. She was a member of the Maeser 4th Ward. She is survived by her mother, Jennie Lee Coy, Vernal; brother, Rhett (Kris) Coy, Green River, Wyo.; sister, Lorrie (Shawn) Holtz, Clifton, Colo.; Terry (Kathy) Neilson, Richmond Hills, Ga.; many nieces and nephews; and grandmother, Ethel Coy, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Clyde and Cora Hacking, and Arch Coy. Funeral services were held Friday, April 13 in the Thomson- Blackburn Vernal Mortuary with Bishop Dana O'Crowley conducting. Bishop O'Crowley offered the family prayer with prelude and postlude music played by Jean Murray. Cliff Zufelt gave the invocation. Speaker was Mark Duncan with remarks offered by Bishop O'Crowley. Jean Murray played a medley of music. Clifton Jenkins gave the benediction and Kenneth Tripp dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Barry Hacking, Matt Hacking, Shawn Holtz, Clay Hacking, Rhett Coy and Britt Holtz. Interment was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary with compassionate services offered by the Maeser 4th Ward Relief Society. |
