Deceased Name: Hazel Ault CEDAR FORT-- Hazel Glenn Groves Ault, age 73, passed away Feb. 8, 2000 of a long and stubborn battle with colon cancer.
She was born Sept. 29, 1926 in Christian County, Kentucky, to Willie Clyde and Bessie Salone Rose Groves. On April 14, 1946 she married Elwin Ault and moved to Cedar Fort, Utah. Hazel was retired from the Alpine School District where she worked as a lunch lady at Lehi High School for several years, then transferred to the transportation department. She spent the majority of her 18 years with the district driving the school bus in from Cedar Valley. Her students loved her and she made their ride an adventure. When she retired, she was especially missed by her handicapped students who considered her their "Grandma." Mama was also an immaculate homemaker. She took great pride in keeping her house spotless, cooking delicious meals for her family, and making beautiful quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to go "home" to Kentucky and her yearly visits will be missed very much by her family and friends there.

She is survived by her husband, Elwin, of Cedar Fort; five children: Connie (Skip) Oxborrow, Lehi; Debbie (Terry) Kirkham, Lehi; Clarence (Eramie) Ault, Cedar Fort; Larena (Dave) Beal, Lehi; Elwyna (Kip) Beal, Cedar Fort; five brothers; three sisters; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one granddaughter, Terris Kirkham.

Funeral, Monday, Feb. 14, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Valley LDS Chapel. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and Monday at the Church in Cedar Fort one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Cedar Fort Cemetery.
