Deceased Name: Obituary: Melba M. Holfeltz Melba M. Holfeltz, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away May 30, 2002 in Murray, Utah.
Born Oct 20, 1918, in Vernal, UT to John Henry and Sylvia Caldwell Merkley. Married Clinton Holfeltz Sept 18, 1940. He preceded her in death Aug 25, 1990.

She worked for Salt Lake Grand Central for many years. She loved to garden, raising beautiful roses. She was a avid Jazz fan. Melba loved to travel. Most importantly she enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors, daughter, Lana Lurie Holfeltz Hackman; grandchildren, Mark C., Cody, Todd, Jeremy Hackman; and sister, Mathel Merkley Bryant. Preceded in death by her two brothers, Reed Henry and Harold Marion Merkley.

Services Wed. June 5, 2 p.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 S. 1950 E, Sandy, where friends and family may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. and also Wed. one hour prior to the services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
