The index to probate records at the National Archives suggest that Nicholas Labrow (born 1740) was quite the "ladies man". He fathered at least 2 children out of wedlock, and was required to provide funds to each of the mothers:

    Bond in £36 between (1) Nicholas Labrow of Clawthrop in the Township of Burton, husbandman - Margaret Labrow, widow and mother of the said Nicolas and William Labrow, brother to the said Nicolas and (2) Benjamin Newton, Churchwarden and John Labrow, Overseer of the Poor, in respect of a chald to be born to Agnes Dodshon, late servant with the above named Margaret Labrow, the father being Nicolas Labrow. 17 September 1769
