Note
|
On 4th March 1854 in a Kendal newspaper there is a notice reporting the death of Joseph Rushforth Junior. It didn't explain the circumstances. He was described as a 'dilligent and attentive teacher of the Sunday School, an affectionate husband and father, kind master, and a beneficient Christian'. The father of 7 children. Research by Deryck Arnall, one of his great nephews, found that Joseph had died after being kicked by a horse and that his grave is at St Margaret's Church in Staveley. |
