Note
|
Information received in May 1915 from JCCC, Bristol. The Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre (JCCC) co-ordinates investigations following the discovery of human remains of British service personnel killed in World Wars 1 & 2. This work involves attempting to identify the casualty and trace their next of kin or descendants. In accordant with policy in force at the time of death, the MoD does not repatriate the bodies of those who died prior to the mid 1960s, but will arrange an appropriate burial/military funeral in the country concerned Regarding the discovery I Amazingly, three crew members survived |
