Note	The parents of William Farren are uncertain as there is no recorded baptism for him. According to his burial record, he was born in about 1780. He probablay married Agnes Willan in Cockerham in 1803. He was recorded as being in the military fin 1806 when his wife Agnes was moved from the township of Dent in Yorkshire to Ellel in Lacashire according to the Quarter Sessions at Pontefract. There is no record of when William left the military or what happened to Agnes but she probably died before 1831 when William married Ellen Harrison in Staffordshire. He had been with Ellen in Kidderminster from before 1825 and 5 children were born to them before his death.
