Note

Our grandparents had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. The oldest was a daughter, called by a nickname "the oldest" (Kun-dal). OUr father did not remember her name. In the old days, a child, especially for a girl, being called by a nickname was a very common custom. It is a Korean custom that younger siblings never call older ones by their name (calling them by the name is considered very impolite), so older ones are called as big brother, brother (Kun-Hyung), big sister or sister (Kun-nuna). I think that's why our father did not remember her name but only her nickname. She resided in North Korea. No information about her family is available.
