Note	Rabbanit Menucha-Rachel Slonim, for many decades the matriarch of TheAshkenazic Jewish community in Chevron, was the daughter of the secondLubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Dov Ber Schneuri. She and her husband, RabbiYaakov Slonim, were sent to Hevron by the Rebbe in the early 1800's tobolster its fledging Chabad conGregation (originally started by fifteenChabad famiLies who mOved there from Zefat!).
