Note

Israel Gerber

My Grandfather Otto Heymann in his family tree created in the late 1920's& early 1930's had Rosine Oppenheimer daughter of Joseph and SaraOppenheimer from Heidelberg (related to a Court Jew who served CarlTheodore) who marrided Israel Gerber his Great Grand Parentss

I have found the record of their marriage in the Jewish Birth Death andMarriage records of Mannheim in MicroFische at the Mormon Family ResearchLibrary Salt Lake City
The Marriage of Rosine Oppenheimer to Israel Gerber is recorded in therecords of the Jewish Community of Mannheim
Page 19 and 20 for 1817

The Text of this record says
"On 12th November 1817 Israel Gerber a citizen of Mannheim and a salesman42 years old son of the deceased Joseph Gerber and Esther Gerber neeGunzenhausen from Schluchtern married Rosina Oppenheimer 26 years olddaughter of Joseph Oppenheimer of Heidelberg and Sara Oppenheimer bornOdenheimer (?)"

Note other records refer to her as Sara Solomon - I cannot resolve thisconflict BUT I believe that this may have been from where she came ratherthan her name as there is a town Odenheim some 20 or 30 km from Heidelberg

I have also found another reference to Rosine b. 1791 and her parents onDaniel Loeb's Web Site
According to Daniel her parents were Joseph Oppenheimer from Heidelbergand Sara Solomon
Given there were only some 10 or 11 Jewish famiLies in Heildelberg(Encyclopedia Judica) at this time they would have to be the same family

This reference links this part of our family tree to the whoLeOppenheimer ancestor family tree
Back to Rabbi Yair Chaiim Bacharach the "Chavas Yair", The Maharal ofPrague Rabbi Judah Loew and to Rashi
Not to mention Court Jews in the Oppenheim / Oppenheimer family.
