Note	The Downes Family were farming at Goyts Bridge in Hartington in the 1800's. Earlier in the 1600's and 1700's they were farming at Normanwood, Taxal, Cheshire. There were a number of families living in the Taxal area between 1613 an 1800 so it is difficult to clearly identify the lines.
