Emigration

Sailed on the ship called "Aurora" to Port Phillip.

Note

Assisted immigrant

The Dunolly Hospital admissions records show him being admitted as "Thomas Langsford" aka "John". He was admitted on 22 Oct 1873 and died 7 Jan 1874. His illness is not stated.

The hospital admissions records show that he arrived aboard the ship "Aurora" in 1848. This is inconsistent with the immigration to Victoria records that show the whole family (John, Ann, William & John R) arriving in 1857 aboard the Morning
Star. (Perhaps he came to Australia, went home and came back again.)
New South Wales immigartion records for Port Phillip assisted immigrants show John & Ann & family arriving on the Aurora in 1848.
