The Sands & McDougall 1895 directory for Victoria has Captain G.F. Nethercote's address as Victorian Artillery Barracks, St Kilda Rd, South Melbourne. Was Narracan Shire Secretary based at Moe, Believed to have embezzeled 200 Pounds. Left for Coolgardie WA. Probably Mining. Lived at Burbanks, Western Australia prior to going to SA. Joined Kitchner's Horse to fight Boer War Held rank of Lieutenant, then Adjutant Noted for having a large number of children in a history of Moe. The probate papers don't support this.
