Note	1881 AP on the way! Info is from the "Humboldt History Book" Alice Selina, had been raised by governesses, so found homestead life hard. She came from Berkshire England with her family in 1906. Alice Selina married Seth Campbell on Nov 14, 1912. Seth was a great help to Alice Selina as, he could bake bread and cakes and knit socks, mitts, toques and scarves. He was also a good gardener, and served as the neighborhood barber. They had a family of six children. All the children went to Hillsley school, which was three miles away, on horseback, and they often rodethree or four on a horse. In the early years, the children attended Sunday School at the Lutheran church, and later at the United church. Their recreation included cards, whist drives, school dances, ball games and picnics. Seth was a trustee and secretary/treasure of Hillsley school for many years. He was also a weed inspector for a time. When he first came to Saskatchewan, he played football, was a member of the Rifle Range, and was a Wheat Pool member. He passed away on December 31st 1933 after being in poor health for several years. Alice Campbell stayed on at the farm with Russel, who took it over until 1957 when she went to live with Gwen. Alice passed away in November, 1958. The land was sold after the death of Russel in February, 1967.
