Note	As a Young farm hand, Troels was engaged to a 19-year old girl, Else Kristine Jensdatter, daughter of farmer Jens Jensen, Bjorumslet. The wedding day was set, but two days before, the girl's father came and told Troels that Else had changed her mind. It was a hard blow for the quiet Young man, who was much in Love with the girl. Some years later, Troels got a job with farmer Hans Madsen in Sjostrup, and here he found a good wife in their daughter, Kristiane. In Troels and Kristianes' marriage were 12 Children, but all of them died as Children. Troels was in bad health during his later years, and his leg had to be amputated.
